Savor Chablis: A Culinary Journey Through Burgundy

Breakfast / Bakeries

Boulangerie BODY Mickaël: 21 rue du Maréchal-De-Lattre-de-Tassigny

This is our favorite Boulangerie, which has a nice variety of bread and pastry. This is where you can redeem the voucher in your welcome pack.

Don't miss out on the Gougère, a delightful French savory pastry made of choux dough mixed with cheese. Light, airy, irresistibly cheesy - a specialty from the region.

Where to Eat

Chablis Wine Not: Rue des Moulins, Tél. : +33 6 72 14 19 39

Another favorite is Wine Not. This is a relatively new restaurant and their menu is superb! Wine Not is a wine bar (more than 1,000 options from Chablis and around the world), a wine merchant, and a dining cellar. It’s also a tapas bar with a meat bar with meats cooked on the barbecue or on the plancha.

We highly recommend you to book a table, as it fills up quickly.

Au Fil du Zinc: 18 Rue des Moulins, Tél. : +33(0)3 86 33 96 39

Connected to Hotel du Vieux Moulin, this Michelin-star restaurant is right in the center of town. Its big perk: a rare extensive wine list (the Les Raretés page) that is reasonably priced (so order a bottle!)

Make a reservation (even lunch) before your trip. You do not want to miss this one!

Les Trois Bourgeons: 10 Rue Auxerroise, Tél. : +33(0)3 86 46 63 23

https://www.restaurant-chablis.fr/

Named “The Three Buds”, this restaurant is owned by three friends who came from Japan. The menu spotlights the best of Burgundian cuisine but with an original twist. Lunch is a pre-fixed three-course menu.

Bistro des Grands Crus: 10 rue Jules Rathiers, Tél. : +33(0)3 86 42 19 41

This is the place to sample simple, old-fashioned, bistro-style Burgundian classics like oeufs en meurette or escargots de Bourgogne. On Sundays it is busy with locals and very pleasant.

Where to Drink

Marguerite de Chablis: 1 Quai du Biez, Tél. : +33(0)9 81 80 29 21

https://www.margueritedechablis.com/

This is THE spot that many people recommend in Chablis.

Warm welcome, local, artisanal and authentic products and of course Chablis wines.

Very pleasant terrace along a side stream of the Serein, the small canal which leads to the Mill.

Maddam: 4 Rue des Vendanges, Tél. : +33(0)3 45 45 25 62

Taste a beer - yes, there is also beer in Chablis! A welcoming bar allows you to discover them on site. You can also tour the brewery.

Another tip, you can find beer here…in a magnum bottle. Great for a unique gift!

Alternative: It is also nice to make a picnic (buy some cheese, bread and wine), and enjoy with a view of the vineyards.

There are several viewpoints over Chablis and the Chablis wine region. Our favorite spot is at the Les Grand Cru viewpoint.
