Hi, we are Amina and José.
We are a Franco-American couple who love travel and places that matter to us. Chablis is Amina's hometown, and we feel deeply connected to it.
Our Story
Amina & José, your hosts in Chablis
In December 2022, just before moving to Canada for three years, we bought a 19th-century house in Chablis. While living abroad, we returned often to work on the renovation. With our own hands, and with help from Amina's brothers, the house slowly came back to life.
We wanted a home designed for ourselves: warm, elegant, and calm. A place to share with guests who value comfort and character. That became Maisons Vaudésir.
In 2025 we turned our full attention to Maisons Vaudésir, a small, family-run business we are growing from Chablis. Amina is primarily based here, welcoming Rose guests and caring for the houses day to day.
Why Vaudésir?
Chablis is known for its wines and seven Grand Cru vineyards. On José's first visit, the Vaudésir Grand Cru became a favourite. It sits steps from the house, so the name felt right: terroir and feeling together.
In 2024 we bought a second property in the village. It will become Lyla and Iris as we expand the collection. For now, Rose is the house we host.

What Guests Can Count On
What We Kept
During the 2023/24 renovation, we stripped back to the original oak beams and Burgundian stone. Amina's brothers worked with us so the house kept its 19th-century frame while gaining new wiring, bathrooms, and heating.
How Rose Is Stocked
Rose has Kipli organic mattresses and linens, a reversible heat pump for heating and cooling, eco-certified toiletries, and welcome provisions bought from Chablis shops.
Hosts on Site
Amina is primarily based in Chablis and meets Rose guests on arrival. Before your 4:00 p.m. check-in, we make the beds, stock the kitchen, and send your door code so you can walk straight in.
